Lokogoma-Gudu Road Constructed By Prince Ebeano Supermarket

Lokogoma-Gudu Road in Abuja

Residents of Lokogoma in Abuja have described the 3.2 kilometer Lokogoma-Gudu Road as the best Christmas gift.

The road constructed by Prince Ebeano Supermarket was commissioned on December 12, 2019 by the Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Aduda.

Sadly, Lokogoma-Gudu Road had posed so much challenge to users.

At different times, accidents had happened at the bridge area of the road.

There are also reports of flood, sweeping off some residents.

Before the road construction began, two containers served as a bridge. But each time it rains heavily, flood sweeps away the sand on the container, exposing the users to danger.

In the image below, a resident shared his ordeal at the location.

The commissioning of the 3.2 kilometer road was an event witnessed by people from all walks of life.

Also, at the event held at the bridge area of the road, were the Directors of Prince Ebeano Supermarket, Mr Sunday Egede and David Ojei.

They told the gathering that the decision to construct the road was based on concern for humanity and development of Nigeria.

“If we don’t develop Nigeria by ourselves, no one will do it for us. We need to be passionate about Nigeria and that should get to even the things that you wear.

“When you were a made in Nigeria cloth you are creating jobs,” Mr Ojei stressed.

Mr Egede highlighted that “no matter how much you have in your pocket or your bank account, your environment is a reflection of who you truly are”.

The Chairman of the Lokogoma Development Association, Dr. Joseph Nnorom, highlighted the need for a traffic light at the junction to control traffic influx expected in the area as a result of the road construction.

After the commissioning, residents of the area who use the road and other Nigerians have expressed joy over the development.

It is one road that will reduce travel time for Gudu to town.
